Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions we hear every now and again:

What makes you different to the other hundreds of HR Consultancies?

I cut through the noise. You get straight-talking, solution-focused advice that moves things forward. I don’t waste time telling you what you can’t do, I tell you how to get the result you want, safely and effectively. I’m hands-on when it matters, whether that’s being in the room for a tricky meeting or guiding you through a high-stakes decision. No generic scripts, no box-ticking.

What are the benefits of using a HR Consultant?

Employment law is complex, and getting it wrong can lead to costly mistakes. As a consultant, I give you the expertise of a senior HR professional without the cost of hiring in-house. I take time to understand your business, help you avoid risk, and give you practical, tailored advice that gets real results.

I already have a handbook, what if I only need Contracts or other documents?

That’s fine. I only provide what you actually need. If you already have documentation, I can review it, highlight any gaps, and make sure it works in practice as well as on paper.

How do you get to know my business?

I ask questions, I listen, and I pay attention to the culture you want to build. There is no one-size-fits-all in HR. When I truly understand your business and your goals, I can give advice that fits your values and delivers the outcome you need.

What's with the mountain theme?

It's simple really; I enjoy hiking and climbing in my spare time, so it felt natural to bring that into the business branding. No hidden meaning, despite being a little tempted to add a cheesy line like "helping your business reach the top", but no, I just like mountains.

I'm an employee, can you help me?

Yes, as long as there’s no conflict of interest with your employer. I can give you clear advice on your rights and options, whether you’re facing redundancy, a disciplinary, a performance process, or experiencing bullying, harassment, or discrimination. If I can’t help, I’ll tell you straight and point you towards someone who can.
